This is a part-time, PRN (as needed) position with on-call requirements.
General hours are Monday through Friday on varied days as needed for department coverage, and it involves a required on-call rotation for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
An Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience is required. Registered ARRT certification is preferred, and student technologists may be approved based on recommendation from an accredited radiology program director.
Responsibilities include operating x-ray and CT equipment to produce diagnostic images, educating patients on exam preparation, following protocols for contrast administration, using proper exposure factors and protective devices, and maintaining knowledge of computers and PACS/EMR systems.
