Requirements

  • AART Certified
  • Must have a Radiologic Technologist license issued by the State of Maine
  • 3+ years of Radiologic Technologist experience; comfortable being the sole Radiologic Technologist on-site during shift
  • Team player and ability to multitask
  • Dependable and able to work all scheduled shifts
  • Considerate making each patient feel welcomed and special
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communication, possessing a clear, professional, friendly and positive demeanor
  • Flexibility in scheduling is a must; able to work weekday shifts: 8am – 8pm and weekend shifts: 8am – 5pm

Responsibilities

  • Follow QC policies, ensure that equipment is in working order daily, prior to first patient use
  • Prep pediatric and adult patients for radiologic procedures (x-ray only)
  • Take x-rays following established radiation safety policies and while utilizing proper shielding materials
  • Record each radiologic procedure and ensure each is analyzed by teleradiology vendor
  • Triage patients and perform other clinical medical assisting tasks
  • Register patients, answer the phone and other administrative tasks
