Responsibilities

Delivers radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist
Performs CT Simulations as directed by the Radiation Oncologist, including fabrication of positioning and immobilization devices, tattooing and simple beam modification devices
Performs Daily Quality Assurance on both the Linear Accelerator and CT Simulator
Appropriately and accurately documents in electronic medical record and written medical record
Explains procedures to patients thoroughly and ensures understanding
Attentive to a patient’s side effects and acts as liaison between patient, nurse and or physician
Reviews each chart for accurate documentation and for changes in prescription, written orders, or patient setup parameters
Performs time-out procedure before initiating all treatments and or simulations
Schedules patients according to department guidelines in Aria
Maintains the appearance of the treatment room
