Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 0-2 years’ experience
  • Proficiency in CAD design software (SolidWorks, Pro/e, or equivalent)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with customers
  • Good technical writing skills to produce reports and documents
  • Self-motivated and willing to take clear ownership of work
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues with strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance

Responsibilities

  • Translate customers’ wants into new product designs through an iterative process
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and project managers, to define system requirements and specifications
  • Develop and maintain system architectures, models, and documentation to optimally communicate system design and functionality
  • Identify safe and robust (regulatory mindful) components and perform associated testing
  • Detect and address technical issues and challenges throughout the system development lifecycle
  • Update and maintain current product drawings and components as needed
