Requirements

Candidates should possess 8-12 years of relevant work experience in research, data science, or data analytics within the public or private equities markets. A strong academic background with an undergraduate degree in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field is required. Excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary to effectively translate quantitative information to non-technical audiences, along with strong internal partnership skills.

Responsibilities

The Quantitative Researcher will conduct unique research using strong programming and data science skills to support Data, Products, and Marketing efforts. They will collaborate with team members and across Forge to identify, measure, and communicate trends in the venture-backed/pre-IPO equity market. Responsibilities include assisting in the development and maintenance of private market indices, supporting index rebalancing, and answering client queries. The role also involves collaborating on the research and development of new models, data products, metrics, and insights, as well as maintaining and enhancing internal models and databases. Additionally, the researcher will aid in data-driven content development and value proposition creation, prepare and publish research reports, assist with ad-hoc data requests and analysis, and partner with product, sales, and marketing functions to drive content development. Identifying new unique data points to enhance research and product offerings is also a key responsibility.
