Requirements

  • Ability to work 12-hour rotational shift 7:48am-pm - 8:00am (2B)
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Minimum of one to three years of related experience
  • Working knowledge of quality control methods & approaches
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to walk & stand on production floor throughout work shift with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Understanding of and ability to perform intermediate SAP transactions
  • Technical knowledge to complete quality checks on multiple lines or areas
  • Ability to train associates in the Quality Technician role and/or others
  • Interpersonal skills to transfer job knowledge to trainees
  • Basic understanding of Excel and other Office tools

Responsibilities

  • Test Product: create new product in SAP test plan, conduct qualifications, comprehend PPK/trends/runs, create 1st article in SAP, complete all measurement requirements per package, identify out of spec and out of control data, use all required testing equipment properly
  • Understand basic SAP/Iconics Transactions: modify test plans including specs and test frequency, comprehend PPK/trends/runs, scrap heldware through SAP, enter SPC data in SAP, enter Near Miss/1 on 1 and Find It Fix It, create shift reports
  • Monitor Product Parameters: review critical product charts beyond daily testing, identify invalid data, review product charts during daily testing
  • Handle Non-Conforming Product: place product on hold in multiple bins including outside warehouse and non-210 hold bins, correct heldware inventory discrepancies with warehouse help, audit till defect free, use Target/Acceptable/Marginal/Unacceptable (TAMU) inspections to identify visual defects
  • Resolve equipment issues and make minor adjustments: troubleshoot most issues on testing equipment including hot filler, work with maintenance as needed, identify when quality equipment isn't working correctly, basic troubleshooting to get quality equipment operational
  • Participate in other aspects of the Quality Management System: conduct mock recalls with limited help, conduct calibration on most equipment and work with vendor for external service, understand basics of mock recall and calibration
  • Be a contributing member of the Internal Audit team
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned, including training quality associates
