Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year College or University
  • Five (5) years of experience in quality engineering, with hands-on exposure to testing methodologies, tools, and compliance standards
  • Two (2) – Three (3) years of leadership or mentoring experience, preferably managing Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering teams, coordinating audits, or leading cross-functional quality initiatives
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist the manager in coaching and monitoring the flow of work through a specific team within the quality department
  • Develop the team to further the strategic direction of Quality Management
  • Develop team members through training and coaching
  • Consult on team projects and tasks
  • Review NCPs and CARs to ensure adequacy of information and countermeasures
  • Support and back-up on team responsibilities, including customer audits and inspections
  • Monitor and measure team responsibilities, such as CARs, NCPs, and ECNs, to ensure timely completion and effectiveness
  • Lead QE meetings
  • Manage process audit program
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of projects for Quality
  • Develop and maintain Quality and QMS processes and the interfaces with other departments
  • Review and improve existing processes
  • Implement new processes
  • Ensure alignment with other departments
  • Facilitate resolution of Production shutdowns, including problem analysis, coordination and implementation of actions
  • Perform Risk/Opportunity analysis and monitor effectiveness
  • Ensure completion of metrics and analysis for the department
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
