Requirements

Experience in quality supervision or management in a manufacturing/healthcare environment
Knowledge of quality and compliance standards, procedures, and guidelines
Ability to manage teams, including supervising, training, and developing nonexempt personnel
Skills in performance management, including setting goals, providing feedback, conducting appraisals, and handling HR issues
Capability to manage resources, staffing levels, overtime, and project support
Understanding of safety standards and ability to promote a safe work environment
Proficiency in using objective and quantifiable measures for safety, quality, and performance improvement
Experience with equipment performance, maintenance, downtime management, upgrades, and new installations
Strong communication and teamwork skills across shifts, crews, and sites
Ability to foster cross-functional relationships with management, engineering, production, equipment, and materials teams

Responsibilities

Promote communication and teamwork across shifts/crews/sites
Provide support for compliance investigations and resolve corrective actions
Motivate assigned personnel to ensure documentation complies with procedures and guidelines
Ensure all assigned personnel are in personal training compliance and meet unique training needs
Participate in plant Safety, Quality, and Operations meetings
Assist/support other functions as needed
Pro-actively seek ways to maintain and improve quality standards
Use objective and quantifiable measures to decrease safety incidents and increase quality/performance
Promote a safe work environment by ensuring highest standards in employee safety
Supervise, train, and develop nonexempt personnel
Develop goals/objectives for assigned personnel, monitor performance, provide feedback, write/conduct development plans/performance appraisals, and manage HR issues
Manage and assign resources to address business needs, including staffing, overtime, and project support
Provide leadership for the team and address quality, production, and safety needs effectively
Be responsible for overall equipment performance and maintain equipment downtime to an acceptable level
Support equipment upgrades/new installations
Meet daily production goals and proactively support the customer (e.g., work with engineering on alternative resolutions)
