Requirements

  • Proficiency in manual testing to identify defects and ensure software functionality
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools like Gitlab or ALM for identifying, documenting, and tracking defects
  • Knowledge of performance, load, and stress testing to ensure software scalability and reliability
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitoring/maintaining CI/CD environments
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and report quality metrics and prepare test reports for stakeholders
  • Skills in setting up and maintaining test environments representative of production
  • Understanding of industry standards, best practices, and compliance in software testing
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, stakeholders) and participate in agile ceremonies
  • Capability to identify and assess risks, implement mitigation strategies, and conduct risk-based testing
  • Experience coordinating and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) and addressing feedback
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining comprehensive test documentation
  • Ability to provide training and support on testing tools, processes, and best practices

Responsibilities

  • Deliver medium-high complexity testing tasks as part of a team, influence collaborative meetings, interact with stakeholders to create requirements and demonstrate work, document testing and outcomes, and follow established software product engineering practices (enterprise scope)
  • Design and implement quality control measures, conduct advanced testing and analysis, and drive continuous improvement in product quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish quality standards, resolve complex quality issues, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Define the scope and objectives of testing, including identification of test resources and tools
  • Perform manual testing to identify defects and ensure software functionality
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts
  • Identify, document, track software defects, collaborate with developers to reproduce issues, provide detailed reports, and verify fixes
  • Conduct performance, load, and stress testing; analyze results and identify bottlenecks
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and rapid feedback; monitor and maintain CI/CD environments
  • Collect and analyze quality metrics; prepare and present test reports and metrics to stakeholders and management
  • Set up and maintain test environments (hardware, software, network)
  • Ensure testing processes comply with industry standards and best practices; stay updated on testing methodologies and tools
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders; participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
  • Identify and assess risks to software quality, implement mitigation strategies, and conduct risk-based testing
  • Coordinate and support UAT with end-users; gather and address feedback
  • Create and maintain test documentation (plans, cases, scripts)
  • Provide training and support to team members on testing tools, processes, and best practices
  • Perform other assigned job-related duties aligning with the organization's vision, mission, values, and scope of practice
