Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of developing and executing manual and automated tests for mobile applications on iOS or Android
  • Experience with TCM and Defect Tracking tools such as BrowserStack, ADO, JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr
  • Experience using mobile test automation platforms and frameworks (e.g., BrowserStack, Perfecto Mobile, Appium, Espresso, XCUITest)
  • Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket for managing test scripts
  • Experience ensuring compatibility across multiple devices and operating system combinations

Responsibilities

  • Build test plans to ensure the quality of features exposing technology in newest vehicles and mobile applications
  • Build test suites, develop and execute manual and automated test cases
  • Log, track and verify resolutions of requirements and software defects
  • Hands-on integration testing with capabilities in the newest GM vehicles
  • Collaborate with experienced test leads to assist in test strategy and process improvements
  • Review test cases written by others and provide feedback/assistance
  • Drive quality based on feedback loops on issue trends and issue triage
  • Advance the state of the art of quality engineering practices
  • Participate in the inception of new features, collaborating to review and influence business and software requirements
  • Create and execute automated and manual tests, log defects, and report test metrics and test status to project teams
