Requirements

Provides independent, unbiased evaluation of materials or the work of others
Documents and communicates evaluation results to stakeholders (e.g., supplier development and/or manufacturing)
Provides technical assistance to support manufacturing efforts by implementing corrective and preventative actions
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures
Performs simple statistical analysis through data collection and input into software or manual calculations
Trains new, entry level, and less experienced Quality Auditors through on-the-job training, group training, and one-on-one guidance
Provides input to engineering during qualification, validation studies and reports by collecting, compiling, measuring, organizing, and recording data, and writing procedures
Develops and implements process improvements by assisting Engineering in researching and validating changes in processes/equipment and test methods

Responsibilities

Audits materials or the work of others through examination, inspection, measurement, or test of raw materials, components, sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and documentation
Documents non-conformance or suspected non-conformance to standards (e.g., manufacturing documentation, material/component specifications, operating procedures, domestic/international standards) via unsuccessful audits, required paperwork, system transactions, and affixing mark (stamp, sign-off, or signature)
Handles discrepant materials per documented disposition and documents activities in appropriate systems or paperwork
Communicates status of audit metrics and other assignments, responsibilities, and duties verbally and through periodic reports
Issues, stores, counts, and maintains inventory in different storage areas
Handles, disposes, transfers, and documents hazardous waste appropriately
Works with engineering to identify probable root cause
