Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent; draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Good computer skills with knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Regularly stand and walk; frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk/hear, and smell; occasionally sit, use hands to finger/handle/feel objects/tools/controls, reach with hands/arms; lift/move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of all molded products running on each line in Molding Department
  • Conduct sampling and testing of compounds off each line in the Compounding Department
  • Document and maintain quality inspection findings for Molding and Compounding
  • Document any non-conformities and hold all affected products for further investigation
  • Conduct and manage all hold product investigations and dispositioning from your shift
  • Conduct and manage all computer records, inputs, and statuses of all quality activities
  • Institute complete JDE Inventory records of any hold or released product
  • Comply with company policy, procedures, and safety rules
  • Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, leads, supervisors, and managers
  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy
  • Perform other duties as assigned to the satisfaction of your supervisor and the shift supervisor
