Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related subject area
  • Minimum of 5 years of extensive analytical experience in a related environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of scientific principles
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting HPLC/UHPLC and ICP-MS/OES systems
  • Experience with method development and validation
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and interact effectively with all levels of the company
  • Ability to exercise independent decision-making and initiative

Responsibilities

  • Conduct finished goods and raw material sampling and testing in an ISO accredited laboratory, including Pharmacopeia testing, UHPLC, and ICPMS analysis
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in analytical finished goods release testing, ensuring timely and efficient performance per standard operating procedures
  • Lead and troubleshoot technical and instrumental queries across the analytical chemistry department
  • Proactively collaborate with Production, Technical, and Manufacturing teams to resolve quality-related issues from customer complaints and internal incidents, facilitating investigation and resolution
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement across the quality department and operational facility
  • Act as point of contact for Junior lab operators
  • Perform statistical analysis to review trends in data and implement improvements
  • Exercise latitude in determining technical objectives and solutions to complex problems
  • Strive to enhance efficiency in procedures and processes without compromising quality
  • Review and approve testing for new, existing, and future products from a quality perspective
  • Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned
