Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess 3+ years of experience as a software engineer, with some hands-on experience in retail industry operations and commerce data infrastructure, fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal), proficiency in Python with experience in serverless computing (e.g., AWS Lambda), familiarity with React, expertise in Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) and message brokers (e.g., SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ), knowledge of OMS (Order Management Systems) and POS (Point of Sale) platforms, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like CircleCI or GitHub Actions, experience with microservices architecture and real-time data management using event streams, and a solid foundation in Computer Science fundamentals and Software Engineering principles.

Responsibilities

This role involves providing technical support for Order Management System (OMS) and Point of Sale (POS) systems, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime, collaborating with software engineering teams to develop and maintain APIs and middleware for seamless system data exchange, tracking and documenting support requests and incidents using a ticketing system, analyzing incident trends to identify recurring issues and recommend proactive measures, working closely with software developers to validate changes and conduct regression testing, providing feedback on system improvements, and collaborating on the development of new solutions to enhance retail operations.
