Requirements
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with an active license in at least one state (priority states based on Bend's operational needs)
- Experience with Virtual Care and tele-psychiatry platforms, demonstrating comfort and proficiency in remote care settings
- Demonstrated Family Engagement skills and experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults
- Commitment to JACHO Standards: Familiarity with JACHO guidelines and competency in practicing within an accredited framework to ensure safety, quality, and compliance
Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and provide guidance to a team of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and other mental health professionals
- Provide clinical oversight and support for team members, ensuring they have the resources and training they need to deliver high-quality psychiatric care
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulate accurate diagnoses, and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each developmental stage
- Utilize proven therapeutic techniques and medication management strategies to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders, ensuring safe and appropriate interventions
- Foster a collaborative treatment environment, educating families on mental health issues, involving them in care planning, and providing guidance on supportive measures at home
- Conduct virtual psychiatric sessions, ensuring a high-quality and supportive experience, and leverage technology to maintain regular communication with members and families
- Actively participate in team meetings, contribute to collaborative care planning, and provide consultative support to other team members for comprehensive member care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes. Use data analytics to assess outcomes and continuously improve care quality
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards, engage in ongoing professional development, and commit to ethical, patient-centered care practices
