Requirements

Must be a New Jersey State Certified Screener with a valid screener number
Bachelor's degree with two years mental health experience, one of which is in a crisis setting
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record. Local travel required
Preferred: Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field with clinical training

Responsibilities

Stationed in the community at Law Enforcement Municipalities
Performs close follow-up with Law Enforcement to intended location
Provides referral and linkage when indicated
Completes authorization for transport form (when appropriate)
Works collaboratively with Law Enforcement, co-workers and agency colleagues to effectively communicate and problem-solve
