Requirements

  • Must be a New Jersey State Certified Screener with a valid screener number
  • Bachelor's degree with two years mental health experience, one of which is in a crisis setting
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record. Local travel required
  • Preferred: Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field with clinical training

Responsibilities

  • Stationed in the community at Law Enforcement Municipalities
  • Performs close follow-up with Law Enforcement to intended location
  • Provides referral and linkage when indicated
  • Completes authorization for transport form (when appropriate)
  • Works collaboratively with Law Enforcement, co-workers and agency colleagues to effectively communicate and problem-solve
