Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in a technical field
  • Experience as an Application / Proposal Engineer
  • Good communicator and fluent in English
  • Experience related to Industrial plant projects
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Established project management skills
  • Knowledge of the main technical standards of the Oil & Gas market (a plus, but not mandatory)
  • Knowledge of the administrative and legal aspects related to contracts and sales
  • Knowledge of typical market contractual forms (PMC, EPC, EP, EPCM)
  • Ability to demonstrate computer skills and familiarity with MS Office

Responsibilities

  • Preparing proposals/bids, involved in contract negotiation and compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment
  • Analyzing the technical, commercial and contractual tender documents for the correct definition of the purpose of the work
  • Identifying the risk elements and measures for their mitigation
  • Developing, proposing and implementing offering strategies and winning technical solutions in accordance with time and budget with the help of Process and Engineering departments
  • Coordinating the Process and Engineering departments for the implementation of the Proposal Documentation in due time (PFD, Equipment List, Plot Plan, MTO, etc.)
  • Coordinating with SubContracts for the fabrication or erection activities when necessary
  • Developing the price structure and filling / completing the cost estimate of the Project and discussing it with Board for margin and price definition
  • Keeping in touch with the Client during bidding stage and coordinating with Sales if necessary
  • Preparing and collecting hand-over documentation for the transfer of the project information developed during the bid phase to the Project Team in case of Contract Award
  • Assisting with customer negotiations
  • Identifying new opportunities with functional partners to develop new products and services for business growth
  • Handling complex products and systems requiring technical knowledge and knowledge of the environment where the products or systems will be used (client specific, requiring technical analysis and system design to fit client conditions)
