The Project Manager in Accounting Operations will work closely with the Head of Accounting Operations to ensure multiple ongoing projects are moving forward on time, within scope, and with high quality. They will manage a portfolio of 20+ accounting and operations projects, design and implement scalable processes, and partner with data, engineering, and product teams. Collaboration with internal teams including Country Finance Managers (CFMs) and Senior Finance Managers (SFMs) is essential, along with overseeing testing, validation, and implementation of new tools and processes. Maintaining project trackers, documenting processes, and communicating progress are key responsibilities.
The Project Manager will be responsible for strengthening internal controls, improving efficiency, and achieving a 7WD close target. They will act as the central point of coordination for accounting-related projects, including process improvements, system integrations, automation, and reporting enhancements. Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable processes to reduce errors, close control gaps, and improve operational efficiency through automation, dashboards, and standardized workflows. The role involves collaborating with data, engineering, and product teams to deploy automated tools and reporting solutions. Additionally, the Project Manager will oversee testing, validation, and implementation of new tools and processes, maintain project trackers, document processes, and communicate progress to leadership. They will help prioritize initiatives based on business impact and build a Looker dashboard to automate recurring global payroll cost reporting. Creating a standardized process to capture and track acquisition-related accounting activities and implementing automated controls to prevent missed postings or reconciliation errors are also key duties.
