Must be 18 years of age
Current Arkansas Driver’s License and must pass Tyson Yard/Lot Driver Assessment
Welding skills and must pass Tyson Welding requirements
Basic mechanical or maintenance skills (knowledge or work history listed on application or resume)
Ability to supply own tools for minimum maintenance
Ability to lift 60 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 30 feet, bend, stretch, reach, and work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors
Ability to use basic electrical, pneumatic, and hand tools
Ability to read and understand policies, procedures, and regulations
Ability to document information
Ability to communicate with others written and verbally
Willing to travel to other locations
Proof of authorization to work legally in the United States
Pass urinalysis screening (post-offer health assessment)
Not rehired more than 3 times at Tyson Foods (minimum 180-day/6-month waiting period from previous Tyson employment)
Willing and able to perform physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers, including oil changes and greasing
Repair or replace semi tires
Perform brake repair or replacement on semi-trucks and trailers
Conduct trailer rebuilds, fab frames, trailer wiring, and aluminum trailer body work
Maintain a safe work environment
Adhere to Tyson policies and procedures
