Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Current Arkansas Driver’s License and must pass Tyson Yard/Lot Driver Assessment
  • Welding skills and must pass Tyson Welding requirements
  • Basic mechanical or maintenance skills (knowledge or work history listed on application or resume)
  • Ability to supply own tools for minimum maintenance
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 30 feet, bend, stretch, reach, and work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors
  • Ability to use basic electrical, pneumatic, and hand tools
  • Ability to read and understand policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Ability to document information
  • Ability to communicate with others written and verbally
  • Willing to travel to other locations
  • Proof of authorization to work legally in the United States
  • Pass urinalysis screening (post-offer health assessment)
  • Not rehired more than 3 times at Tyson Foods (minimum 180-day/6-month waiting period from previous Tyson employment)
  • Willing and able to perform physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers, including oil changes and greasing
  • Repair or replace semi tires
  • Perform brake repair or replacement on semi-trucks and trailers
  • Conduct trailer rebuilds, fab frames, trailer wiring, and aluminum trailer body work
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Adhere to Tyson policies and procedures
