Requirements

  • Associate’s degree – preferred, with focus on Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing industry in a Supply Chain Management related role (Production Planning, Procurement, Inventory Management)
  • At least 2 years’ experience using ERP software (SAP preferred)
  • Thorough understanding of production and capacity planning in manufacturing industry
  • Detail-oriented with ability to follow through on issues
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Capable of working independently
  • Willingness to participate in continued education opportunities
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially Excel) and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and address all forms of demand (sales orders, sales forecast, safety stock) for finished and sub-assemblies in Brewster by creating/releasing production orders and partnering with Production to ensure timely execution
  • Convert rough-cut capacity schedule into detailed production plan in ERP system, reviewing work center loading versus available capacity
  • Partner with Procurement to secure raw material availability, trigger purchase requisitions for precious and non-precious metals, and revise schedules to prevent disruptions
  • Determine feasibility of demand by understanding factory bottlenecks and flexibility parameters
  • Actively participate in Sales and Operations Planning process; coordinate with Customer Service, Product Management, and other departments to relay findings and propose solutions
  • Enhance and correct master data elements to ensure reliability of MRP messages
  • Participate in Supply Chain related projects to drive continuous improvement; collaborate on analyzing transactional data for trends and opportunities
  • Collaborate with team on managing outside vendor operations against production orders
  • Participate in local and virtual meetings as needed and tackle other tasks assigned by the manager
