Requirements

Ability to become Forklift Certified

Responsibilities

Fill cryogenic liquids and pure non-flammable industrial gases according to Airgas Fill Plant Standard Operating Procedures
Set pressure gauge to specified reading and watch for indication of full cylinders
Adjust valves and observe gauge to fill cylinder to specified pressure
Observe scale indicator to fill cylinders to specified weight
Fill cylinder to full capacity, roll cylinder onto scale, and connect vent line to release excess gas and attain prescribed weight
Roll cylinders onto platform or position cylinders in manifold racks manually or with the aid of material handling equipment
Test gas for purity using testing equipment
Inspect or test empty cylinders
Examine exterior of cylinder for surface defects such as dents, cracks, or burns, and decide whether to quarantine the cylinder for further inspection
Perform other duties as assigned
