Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Mechanical aptitude, basic understanding of production environments, and working knowledge of industrial machinery/equipment
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand instructions in English, including equipment OEM manuals and operator instructions
  • Ability to perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and work with units of measure, decimals, and fractions
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts or other schedules as needed, including voluntary and mandatory overtime
  • Ability to visually recognize defective materials and products not meeting quality specifications
  • Ability to troubleshoot production-related problems and hear machine sounds/safety warnings to detect issues like jams
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, with frequent lifting of 30 lbs (including 41-lb boxes of cartons and 25-lb boxes of fitments)
  • Ability to participate in job development training and cross-train on all equipment
  • Must be a team player, assist co-workers, and participate in Process Improvement activities
  • Excellent attendance required
  • Currently authorized to work full-time in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate the Elopak ESL filling machines to form, sanitize, fill, and seal gable top cartons (GTC) according to company requirements and industry specifications
  • Understand ESL processes, carton integrity, and testing methodologies; perform critical quality checks to ensure container integrity
  • Ensure accurate labeling and packaging of products and correctly record all production data
  • Frequently lift 41-lb boxes of cartons while loading the machine and 25-lb boxes of fitments while filling cap hoppers
  • Quickly detect and resolve machine malfunctions or product defects
  • Follow instructions and work both individually and as part of a team
  • Work reliably in a fast-paced environment, complying with all safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain equipment and area cleanliness, including C.I.P/S.I.P., to ensure compliance with GMP standards
  • Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment and immediately report safety issues to supervisor
  • Perform all CIP duties, including chemical testing and documentation as assigned
  • Perform all essential job functions and work instructions following company standards
