Requirements

  • An online portfolio with illustration samples
  • Skill and proficiency getting to final illustrations inside Figma
  • Illustration experience in a tech, agency, or editorial role
  • Experience creating files that are structured, optimized, and hand-off ready (clean layers, consistent naming, minimal anchor points, and asset reusability)
  • Experience illustrating for animation; Rive is our tool of choice
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects in parallel from concept to completion
  • 4+ years of experience working at a high-paced tech start-up
  • Experience with product design or animation (or both)
  • Bonus: Background in motion design, character rigging, or 2D game art pipelines

Responsibilities

  • Concept and compose engaging character and scene illustrations
  • Work in a highly collaborative fashion with the Design and Animation teams, as well as working with Engineers on finalized assets
  • Keep files clean, organized, and lightweight: named layers, logical grouping, reduced anchor points, efficient use of gradients, and streamlined paths
  • Create assets for product-ready illustrations like badges, hero illustrations, and backgrounds for our characters
  • Consider the user experience surrounding the artwork you create
  • Collaborate with the Design and Animation teams to ensure seamless integration of illustrations into the product
  • Work efficiently to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality illustrations on time
  • Maintain a high level of quality and consistency in all illustrations, adhering to Fetch's brand guidelines and design standards
