Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year graduate program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field
  • Taken classes in mechanical and electrical engineering
  • Basic knowledge of programming/scripting languages
  • Experience with a CAD program such as ProE/Creo (preferred)
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate perseverance
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting with individuals across different geographies

Responsibilities

  • Design and set up test procedures and required hardware
  • Specify and procure parts for test set-ups and test fixtures
  • Work in a team setting collaborating with engineers and interns from fields such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, optical engineering, and computer science
  • Develop test specifications
  • Create engineering documentation
  • Perform basic analytical modeling
  • Assemble test set-ups
  • Perform tests per defined test plan in a laboratory environment
  • Work self-motivated on a specific aspect of a larger project contributing to the development of sub-components for KLA’s inspection tools
