Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Paralegal Certificate preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience reviewing, redlining, and managing commercial contracts
  • Experience using a CLM (e.g., Ironclad) preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a supply chain, procurement or inbound licensing division
  • Experience working in multiple international jurisdictions
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Service-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Knowledge of Emerging Technologies, Biotechnology, Privacy and IP law is a must
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively manage workload
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume of commercial contracts related to indirect spend
  • Review, redline, interpret and negotiate key legal and financial terms of commercial agreements
  • Act as a central resource for multiple departments
  • Operate with a high level of autonomy and demonstrate strong understanding of commercial contract law and negotiations, and financial implications
  • Handle day-to-day operations involving complex and time-sensitive agreements
  • Support contract management and related financial process operations based on business needs
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental and cross-functional processes, guidelines and templates
  • Work directly with procurement and legal teams to shepherd requests for agreements
  • Serve as a liaison to resolve contract-related issues with business partners, procurement, legal and other stakeholders
  • Lead the full contract lifecycle management process
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of regulatory and legal issues relevant to commercial contracting
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including Legal, Procurement, Finance, Accounting, and Project Management, to facilitate timely execution of contracts
