Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of a Diploma in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field, along with a Training of Trainers certificate and a HACCP certificate. They should also have a sound knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, and GMP, and a minimum of three years of experience in the food industry in a similar role. A Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field, and an Internal Auditor certificate for Food Safety Management Systems are preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

The Process Lead will implement and maintain compliance processes related to packaging, raw materials testing, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment, ensuring adherence to SQF and other QMS requirements, standard operating procedures, and market requirements. They will conduct internal and external audits, supplier and GMP audits as needed, verify nonconformances, and report results to stakeholders. Furthermore, the Process Lead will identify and assess compliance training needs, develop and deliver training programs, create teaching materials, and coach team members on compliance standards. They will also report on compliance trends, drive performance improvement initiatives, engage in problem-solving and process optimization efforts, and execute regulatory and site administrative requirements, supporting organizational quality, environmental, safety, and philanthropic initiatives.
