Requirements

  • Prior work experience as a warehouse worker, operations technician, or similar warehouse operator
  • Able to lift and carry merchandise weighing 35-50 lbs. frequently throughout a shift and up to 60 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to be trained on powered equipment as needed
  • Maintain positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to read, utilize matching skills, and comprehend department/product documentation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in an environment with frequently changing and competing priorities
  • Able to operate computer systems or handheld devices

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of inventory by verifying item attributions
  • Act as the first responder to identified defects, external damage, and exceptions as freight flows throughout the building by responding to calls/alerts in real-time for operational teams
  • Assist Operations Managers in execution of detailed problem solving as defects are presented within processes
  • Determine defect root cause, perform research of defects, correct defects, and document them
  • Work closely with the Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) team and process teams within the building to solve identified problems
  • Manage multiple priorities and processes while offering a level of service that goes above and beyond the basics
  • Anticipate leaders’ needs and proactively solve problems before they arise, upholding Target’s values and demonstrating poise, professionalism, and leadership
