Requirements

  • Expert-level proficiency in Java/Spring Boot and distributed patterns
  • Ability to define, communicate, and drive medium-to-long-term technical roadmap and architectural evolution aligned with business goals
  • Serve as highest technical authority accountable for design, integrity, resilience, security, and cost-efficiency of systems at global scale
  • Capability to dive into and solve most complex and ambiguous production issues or architectural roadblocks organization-wide
  • Hands-on code fluency to guide technical decisions and mentor Staff and Senior engineers
  • Experience in people management, mentoring, and coaching Software Engineers (Junior to Staff), including 1:1s, performance management, setting expectations, and driving career growth
  • Ownership of hiring pipeline and maintaining technical bar for engineers joining the domain, with active participation in high-level interviews

Responsibilities

  • Serve as highest technical authority for domain, personally accountable for design, integrity, resilience, security, and cost-efficiency of systems at global scale (Architectural Accountability)
  • Dive into most complex and ambiguous production issues or architectural roadblocks across the organization, providing final solutions or direction (Technical Problem Solving)
  • Maintain expert-level proficiency in Java/Spring Boot and distributed patterns to guide technical decisions and mentor team (Hands-On Code Fluency)
  • Directly manage, mentor, and coach a team of Software Engineers (Junior to Staff), including 1:1s, performance management, setting expectations, and driving career growth (People Management & Development)
  • Own the hiring pipeline for the team, defining and maintaining technical bar, and actively participating in high-level interviews (Hiring & Talent Quality)
