Requirements

10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend and data systems
Advanced proficiency in DB models, data flows, Java, Python, for data processing and application development
Demonstrated expertise in PostgreSQL, including query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning
Experience supporting mission-critical, time-sensitive production environments and client-facing data delivery
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and scalable system design
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Proven ability to lead initiatives, mentor peers, and adapt to evolving technical landscapes
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or related field
Knowledge of testing frameworks and best practices for unit and integration testing (preferred)
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies (preferred)

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
Architect and optimize PostgreSQL and other data stores for reliability and speed, enabling high-volume data processing
Ensure performance, security, and scalability of production services and data pipelines
Provide hands-on support for mission-critical, time-sensitive environments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and with Product, Operations to deliver solutions aligned with business objectives
Champion best practices in code quality, performance tuning, and maintainability
Apply deep understanding of complex business logic to enhance system capabilities and data workflows
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across development, deployment, and monitoring processes
