Requirements
Candidates should possess 10+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of designing and building large-scale systems, specifically within the healthcare domain. They should be experienced in leading complex features, driving technical architecture, and defining requirements. Strong experience with React, TypeScript, Next.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL is required, along with familiarity with healthcare standards like FHIR, HL7, and DICOM. Experience with DICOM and PACS functionalities, including image processing and communication protocols, is also necessary. Knowledge of X12 and ADT functionalities, including claims processing and revenue cycle management, is expected. A commitment to security and implementing industry-standard security practices is essential.
Responsibilities
As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for writing code with autonomy, planning and leading major complex projects, and reviewing your peers’ code. You will provide technical mentorship to fellow engineers and coordinate team efforts to ensure successful project delivery. You will own deliverables, identify roadblocks, and suggest course corrections. You will lead technical design by driving discussions, setting architectural principles, and guiding the team. You will build scalable and reliable systems to support the growing user base and evolving healthcare needs. You will solve complex healthcare problems by engineering resilient solutions, particularly related to dementia care. You will deliver high-quality features utilizing the core tech stack, integrate healthcare standards, implement automated tests, and collaborate with engineering leadership to define architectural principles. You will also be responsible for prioritizing security and designing/implementing automated tests.
