Requirements

Candidates must be a qualified accountant or CFA charterholder (or in process of obtaining qualification). They should possess solid experience in constructing and reviewing valuation models and other financial models, including DCF, comparable company/bond, and other intangible asset models. Hands-on exposure to securitizations, including CLOs, ABS, or CMBS, is required, along with experience managing the delivery of valuations and providing responses.

Responsibilities

The Principal, Private Valuations, Structured Specialist will deliver valuation services to the alternative investment community, including private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, hedge funds, banks, institutional investors, and fund administrators, for their alternative investment positions. They will use valuation techniques and technology-enabled solutions, including Excel, Intex, Intex Link, SQL, and Python, to build and review cashflow models, extract and reconcile data, and automate tasks. The role involves collaborating with internal teams, liaising with valuation committees, auditors, and developers, and performing valuations on illiquid investments such as ABS, CLOs, CMBS, and other structured products. Responsibilities also include preparing and presenting analyses and reports, responding to valuation-related questions, contributing to the enhancement of financial models and workflow tools, using AI tools for data gathering and cleaning, incorporating machine learning for pattern identification and forecast accuracy, leveraging Natural Language Processing for extracting insights from investment documents, and partnering with management to build and maintain client relationships.
