Candidates should possess 12+ years of progressive experience in professional services or equivalent education/experience, including management consulting. Experience leveraging or critically thinking about AI integration into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving is required. The role also requires creativity, comfort running programs independently in a fast-paced environment, success in driving complex issues through analysis and resolution, and the ability to relay complex information to diverse audiences. ServiceNow certifications in aligned workflows and industry domain expertise are preferred, along with large program experience leading architecture. Ability to travel up to 80% is also a requirement.
The Principal Platform Architect will serve as a technical advisor, helping customers establish a technical foundation in the ServiceNow Platform and design solutions to improve outcomes. This involves ensuring customers use leading practices around instance strategy, technical governance, core data, integrations, and platform technical health. The role requires guiding ServiceNow, partner, and customer employees on technical architecture for long-term success, working with customers across executive, platform owner, enterprise architect, and development teams. Responsibilities include being a technical expert across multiple engagements, providing knowledge across multiple workflows, developing relationships with technical and business leaders, translating goals into a customer roadmap, and translating business information into an architectural blueprint. The architect will engage with customer Enterprise Architects to position ServiceNow as a digital transformation platform standard, manage technical governance and delivery operating models, ensure instance health, support sales efforts by scoping engagements, and contribute leading practices related to the ServiceNow platform. Mentoring others for professional development is also a key responsibility.
