Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR PhD with 3 years relevant experience
  • Proven hands-on expertise in troubleshooting, testing, and debugging of electrical systems and circuit boards (nice to have)
  • Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams (nice to have)
  • Strong background in electrical design, component selection, and sustaining engineering for regulated products (nice to have)
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and managing supplier relationships (nice to have)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor Jr Engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and professional growth
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues at the circuit level, using advanced troubleshooting and test methodologies
  • Apply rigorous technical judgment to investigate and determine root causes of both field-reported product issues and manufacturing challenges
  • Lead the development of sophisticated electrical test systems for failure analysis, root cause investigations, and ongoing product improvement
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and engineering functions to resolve manufacturing issues and facilitate the transition of activities to operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional experts and contract manufacturers, ensuring technical objectives are met and innovative solutions are executed
  • Identify and implement alternative electronic component solutions and/or circuit design changes to address design improvements, obsolescence, and supply chain challenges for released Diabetes products
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including FDA QSR and ISO 13485
