Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on software development, with a strong focus on computer vision
  • Proven expertise in head tracking algorithms for AR/VR or related applications
  • Expert proficiency in C++ and Python (5+ years each)
  • Demonstrated success delivering production-quality, real-time perception systems
  • Deep expertise in head pose estimation, object tracking, and sensor fusion
  • Experience integrating and calibrating optical sensors, IMUs, and real-world hardware
  • Strong knowledge of performance optimization, multi-threaded programming, and low-latency systems
  • Hands-on engineer who thrives on building and delivering
  • Comfortable taking ownership of complex technical challenges and driving them to resolution

  • US Citizenship (required for security clearance)

  • Prior work on head tracking in AR/VR systems (e.g., headset-based applications, HUDs)
  • Experience with Unreal Engine or other real-time engines

  • Experience in military, aerospace, or aviation applications
  • Publications, patents, or contributions in computer vision, AR/VR, or motion tracking
  • Track record of solving technically novel, high-stakes challenges

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced head tracking and pose estimation algorithms optimized for AR/VR use cases
  • Develop multi-sensor pipelines (optical, IMU, GPS, etc.) to enable accurate, drift-free tracking and localization
  • Architect, implement, and refine computer vision systems in C++/Python for real-time AR environments
  • Rapidly build, test, and refine AR perception systems with hardware-in-the-loop validation
  • Push algorithms to the limits of low-latency and high-reliability performance, ensuring operational readiness
  • Partner with hardware, optical, and software teams to ensure seamless integration of tracking systems into AR platforms
  • Dive deep into technical challenges at the hardware/software interface, delivering practical and innovative solutions
  • Produce detailed documentation of algorithms, system architecture, and testing workflows
