Position Overview

Jenzabar is seeking a Principal Application Programmer to serve as a technical lead for the Programming Services team and an expert in providing custom solutions for clients. This role involves staying abreast of new technologies and leveraging them to benefit the company and its customers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Boomi for integrating Jenzabar One with third-party applications and will work closely with peers, other departments, and clients. This position requires the ability to work independently or in a team, blending analytical and technical skills to deliver creative solutions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated understanding of essential technical skills.
  • Extensive Boomi development experience.
  • Development experience in C#, Java, XML, .Net, SQL, and REST API calls.
  • Proven ability to work independently or in a team to achieve results.
  • Analytical and technical skills to provide creative solutions.
  • Ability to adhere to and deliver on a specific scope of work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to the Services team.
  • Prepare requirements and solutions for Jenzabar customers.
  • Consult with customers on best practices and solutions, preparing statements of work.
  • Deliver technical work related to programming, integration, and system updates.
  • Work with Jenzabar product development teams to provide input on product updates.
  • Provide training and consulting to customers as requested.
  • Mentor Application Programming team members.
  • Provide support for existing integrations and programs supported by the Programming Services Team.
  • Implement and configure standard integrations utilizing the Unity (Boomi) platform.
  • Develop integrations and programs based on C#, Java, XML, .Net, SQL, and REST API calls.
  • Mentor other programmers assigned to Unity projects.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience working at an Accredited College/University or in the Higher Education Market.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively and independently on multiple projects across multiple products.
  • Excellent team building and problem-solving skills, with comfortability working in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to be innovative, creative, strategic, analytical, and think outside the box when problem-solving.
