Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, development, and testing of mixed-signal electrical systems and circuits for medical devices, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards (e.g., IEC 60601-1, -1-2, & -2-2)
  • Develop detailed specifications, schematics, and PCB layouts, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to meet design and performance requirements
  • Ensure reliability, develop technical specifications for design and production, and test hardware conformance to specifications; may include designing new or modifying existing products
  • Contribute to technical project planning, establish timelines, define deliverables, and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks
  • Perform design verification testing and validation to ensure compliance with industry standards and product requirements
  • Assist manufacturing with issues stemming from hardware quality issues
  • Conduct detailed analysis, simulation, and modeling to ensure performance requirements are met
  • Review customer complaint trends and determine if a quality problem exists
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Defining the direction for new products, processes, standards, or operational plans based on business strategy with a significant impact on work group results
  • Providing input to departmental planning and resource activities
  • Presenting project status to management and teams
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
