Requirements

Candidates should possess at least 3 years of experience working with relational databases, a solid understanding of Linux OS fundamentals, proficiency in shell usage, the ability to use SSH for remote system connections, and an understanding of system performance concepts. Familiarity with InnoDB internals, Performance Schema, and PostgreSQL query optimization is required, along with experience using Percona Toolkit or similar tools and a deep understanding of replication models.

Responsibilities

The PostgreSQL DBA will troubleshoot and resolve database issues, build strong customer relationships, plan and perform technical tasks to deliver solutions, react quickly to incidents, and implement continuous environmental improvements. They will also write clear technical reports and documentation, effectively communicate complex concepts, adhere to incident management procedures, and contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes, while operating within a Follow the Sun support model with on-call duties and occasional travel for internal meetings.
