This role directs the Tax-Exempt Markets Plan Management function, ensuring consistent and quality service to clients while adhering to applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience in Plan Management/Retirement Services
  • 2+ years of Supervisory Experience
  • Omni 5.5 and 7.4 experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial service industry and related legal/compliance issues
  • Knowledge of systems, technology, and equipment
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Knowledge & Experience

  • FINRA Series 6 (where required by plan type)
  • FINRA Series 26 (where required by plan type)

Responsibilities

  • Direct the establishment of short- and long-term objectives for the plan management function and implement plans effectively.
  • Manage and direct activities of direct and indirect staff in all aspects of the Tax-Exempt Markets TPA/Unbundled Plan Management function.
  • Select, lead, and coach staff members, establishing the overall direction of the team.
  • Identify and implement training efforts, make compensation, hiring, and termination decisions.
  • Maintain internal and external customer relationships.
  • Review operational activities and work processes, making necessary changes for efficient and effective operation of plan management functions.
  • Participate or lead process improvement efforts.
  • Establish and monitor department budget.
  • Collaborate with sales, record keeping, and operations staff to ensure plan alignment.
  • Advise staff on plan retention opportunities, sponsors, distribution, and TPAs.
  • Contribute to product development and process improvement efforts.
  • Resolve escalated service and communications issues with customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
