Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in physics (Masters preferred) or another relevant field
2+ years of experience
Experience with C# .Net (preferred), Java, C++, development in a DoD environment (preferred)
Active Secret Clearance preferred (but not required), must be able to obtain TS clearance
Experience or understanding of ITW/AA, Missile Warning, OPIR, UEWR, NDS or MDA ground/sea-based sensors highly preferred
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work well in a team environment and perform independently
Detail oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities (preferred with a Space background and knowledge of the Missile Warning and Missile Defense communities)

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and sustain simulation algorithms predicting orbital and suborbital trajectories
Derive and code equations of motion for boost, mid-course, and terminal guidance
Predict modeling of emerging threats as events occur in the missile warning community
Interact with customers to gather requirements and offer creative solutions
Write documentation, present project designs, perform user training, and attend requirements meetings
Design, develop, document, test and debug application software that contains logical and mathematical solutions
Analyze user requirements
Provide full-spectrum software life cycle: design, develop, implement, and maintain applications on Microsoft Windows-based systems
Perform agile software development in both unclassified and classified environments while utilizing software engineering best practices of unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation
Other tasks as directed
