Requirements

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
  • 0-3 years prior relevant work experience
  • Must possess or be in process of obtaining a valid Pharmacist intern and/or technician licensure as required by state BOP
  • Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills
  • Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
  • Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
  • Finger Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than whole hand or arm
  • Ability to reach overhead; able to stretch or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items
  • Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items
  • Precision control: able to adjust machines to exact positions
  • Ability to stoop to a considerable degree and requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles to move items between low and high positions, including bending spine at the waist
  • Visual Acuity: Close visual acuity to perform activities such as: transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts
  • Able to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment, including patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management (excluding final prescription verification)
  • Keep customers and patients healthy through adoption and management of patient care programs
  • Lead with Heart – display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues
  • Support Pharmacy manager in motivating, inspiring, and developing Pharmacy Support Staff by balancing assignments that maximize colleagues’ strengths, address development opportunities, and decrease knowledge gaps
  • Identify critical business opportunities and meaningful solutions to drive growth and improve performance in the pharmacy and lead team to achieve specified goals
  • Adapt to change and adjust plans to thrive in a dynamic community healthcare setting
  • Seek new ways to grow, collaborate with others, and deliver better outcomes
  • Align others around purpose to bring heart to every moment of health and gain support and commitment
  • Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride
