Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • At least one year experience as a personal injury case manager or paralegal role preferred
  • Experience in a high-volume personal injury practice highly preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases, deadlines, and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build positive client relationships
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain organized case records and documents
  • Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Willingness to collaborate and support other team members to ensure the success of each case

Responsibilities

  • Assist in communicating with clients, providing case updates and addressing basic inquiries throughout the lifecycle of their case
  • Help ensure clients understand the next steps in their case and maintain a positive experience
  • Assist in maintaining a caseload of organized, up-to-date case files in both physical and digital formats
  • Support case preparation, from intake to closing, including document gathering, client updates, and attorney communication
  • Order and track medical records from healthcare providers, ensuring necessary documents are obtained to support injury claims
  • Coordinate with medical providers to ensure proper treatment documentation is secured and presented
  • Collect and organize evidence and documents to support liability claims and injury details
  • Assist attorneys and case managers in negotiating settlements with insurance companies and reductions on outstanding medical bills and liens from providers
  • Support in the preparation of comprehensive demand packages, compiling necessary documents for submission to insurance carriers
  • Collaborate with attorneys, case managers, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure seamless support of each case
  • Assist with contacting insurance carriers and healthcare providers to verify account balances, process claims, and settle case payments
  • Help maintain consistent follow-up with clients regarding treatment status and case progress
  • Provide administrative assistance as needed, including preparing letters, emails, and client correspondence and scheduling meetings with clients, attorneys, and third-parties
