Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum
Working Knowledge of Process Management (employs process flows, cycle time, process time and waste concepts; walks through steps, decisions, measurements, dependencies and hand-offs; creates process flow or work flow diagrams; documents types of process decisions and potential impact; identifies and monitors common process bottlenecks)
Working Knowledge of Accuracy and Attention to Detail (accurately gauges impact and cost of errors; utilizes specific approaches and tools for checking outputs; processes detailed information with good accuracy; learns from mistakes; develops and uses checklists)
Working Knowledge of Analytical Thinking (defines problems and determines significance; makes systematic comparisons of alternatives; uses flow charts, Pareto charts, fish diagrams; identifies major forces, events and people; uses logic and intuition for conclusions)
Working Knowledge of Effective Communications

Responsibilities

Collaborate with customers and leadership to scope and execute projects that meet business needs
Deliver timely, high-quality simulation and analysis impacting products/processes and provide clear recommendations to stakeholders
Partner with design, manufacturing, supply chain and test to deliver new products and improve validation processes
Keep up-to-date on new technologies and drive continuous improvement to established techniques
Design/modify machine linkages for Caterpillar SSL/CTL machines built in India to meet machine performance as part of NPI or current production efforts
Evaluate through physical testing for machine specs and adjust design as necessary; provide inputs to other engineering functions for design finalization and machine loads
Release machine spec log for internal & external CAT usage across departments; support establishing machine spec records for homologation/certification according to different countries or regions
Collaborate with USA and other facility counterparts for maintaining data as per global practices
