Responsibilities

  • Perform restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, and pulp therapy, and offer interceptive orthodontic treatments to guide proper development
  • Manage pediatric dental emergencies, such as toothaches or trauma, and educate caregivers on at-home care for emergencies
  • Utilize child-friendly communication and behavior management strategies, administering sedation or anesthesia when necessary to ensure patient comfort
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and refer patients to specialists for complex treatments beyond pediatric dentistry
  • Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote pediatric oral health and preventative care
