Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive dental exams for infants, children, and adolescents, assessing oral health, growth, and potential issues like tooth decay and misalignment
Provide preventive care, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants, while educating parents on proper oral hygiene and diet for children
Perform restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, and pulp therapy, and offer interceptive orthodontic treatments to guide proper development
Manage pediatric dental emergencies, such as toothaches or trauma, and educate caregivers on at-home care for emergencies
Utilize child-friendly communication and behavior management strategies, administering sedation or anesthesia when necessary to ensure patient comfort
Collaborate with healthcare providers and refer patients to specialists for complex treatments beyond pediatric dentistry
Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote pediatric oral health and preventative care
