Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and within departments) according to production schedules
  • Plan and schedule material/production needs
  • Manage overall planning, material flow, and systems
  • Prepare and update production plans and procurement needs
  • Ensure operations align with production plans and KPIs
  • Optimize inventory and process improvements
  • Execute policies/strategies using in-depth knowledge of technical discipline, analytical thinking, and technical experience
  • Demonstrate leadership capabilities, including hiring and developing talent, with direct personnel management responsibilities such as staffing and performance development
  • Apply best practice knowledge and understanding of how own field integrates with others; understand competition and market differentiators
  • Exercise judgment and propose alternative solutions outside set parameters to handle more complex, technically diverse, and/or interdependent production cycles
  • Utilize technical experience and analytical thinking; use various internal resources and limited external resources outside own team to aid decision-making
  • Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues
  • May lead small projects with low risk and resource needs
  • Facilitate consensus among team members on field-related topics; convey performance expectations and handle sensitive issues
