Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • 3-5 years of prior automotive PBE (Paint, Body & Equipment) experience preferred
  • Successfully complete the PBE Knowledge Assessment
  • General knowledge of Paint, Body & Equipment functions and purposes
  • Ability to speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, catalogs, procedure manuals, financial and operational reports
  • Ability to understand and execute instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to complete basic math accurately (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with whole numbers, fractions, decimals)
  • Ability to use Microsoft software effectively (Word, Excel)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends
  • Physical ability to walk/stand predominantly, talk/hear, use hands/fingers, reach, climb/balance, stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl, lift/move up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, depth perception, adjust focus)
  • Ability to work in environments with occasional outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts, high places, toxic/caustic chemicals, moderate noise

Responsibilities

  • Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance
  • Perform specialty paint or industrial supply orders; source non-stock products as requested
  • Mix paint; train others to mix paint; perform camera readings and color tinting when needed
  • Key holder responsibilities (task assignment/completion, safety, open/close duties)
  • Assist in store inventory processes (truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock)
  • Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot)
