Requirements

Relevant experience as a Blast / Spray Painter including previous bodywork experience
Knowledge of paint preparation within an engineering environment
Hard working
Good team player with excellent communication skills
Good attention to detail
Willingness to develop skills on an ongoing basis
Flexibility to work overtime as and when required

Responsibilities

Cleans and prepares surface for painting using cleaning solution, solvent, sander and scraper
Applies thin coat of finish material such as paint or lacquer to sanded area
Sprays or touches up finish coats to blend spots or imperfections
Ability to prime and apply base coat to a high standard
Confident in checking and polishing components with the minimum of supervision
