Requirements

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
  • Ability to function as part of the hemodialysis health care team under direct supervision of a registered nurse
  • Flexibility to float and provide coverage across multiple clinics in the Madison area and vicinity
  • Adherence to FMCNA Compliance Program, regulatory requirements, division/company policies, mission, vision, core values, and customer service philosophy
  • Ability to report and document all new or unusual incidents, information, complaints, or problems to the supervisor
  • Commitment to promoting and maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Responsibilities

  • Drive FMCNA culture through values and customer service standards, providing outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships through effective and timely communication
  • Take initiative to respond, resolve, and follow up on customer service issues in a timely manner
  • Provide direct patient care for assigned patients
  • Perform all technical aspects of dialysis procedures for assigned patients as prescribed
  • Administer and monitor treatments in accordance with the current treatment plan or as directed by the supervisor
  • Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters on dialysis flow sheets
  • Document other information related to patient care in the individual patient record
  • Report any significant information or change in patient condition
