Requirements

  • Significant hands-on experience as a Database Administrator, with a solid focus on Oracle
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL, MSSQL, SYBASE, MariaDB, and MySQL
  • Strong SQL scripting and query optimization skills
  • Proven experience in performance troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Solid understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems
  • Good soft skills and a strong commitment to teamwork in a fast-paced environment
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or equivalent certifications
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) is considered a plus
  • Familiarity with database monitoring tools and automation frameworks is considered a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced database performance tuning and optimization across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and SYBASE environments
  • Provide expert-level support and guidance to internal DBA teams and external clients
  • Ensure high availability, security, and reliability of database systems
  • Monitor and analyze database performance metrics, identifying and resolving bottlenecks
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design scalable and efficient database solutions
  • As part of R&D team, analyze new features and new databases, how it can be implemented in our software product
  • Support database migrations, upgrades, and patching activities
  • Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures and FAQ
  • Maintaining and optimizing internal database environments
  • Reviewing DB related approaches designed by the application in-house developers
  • Troubleshoot complex performance issues across multiple database platforms
