Responsibilities
Supervise recycling and other post-collection activities in the recycling center
Oversee a team of dispatchers, operations clerks, drivers, sorters, helpers and other equipment operators for efficient operation
Work with Operations Manager and General Manager to implement tactical initiatives for functional excellence and budget achievement
Ensure adherence to all accident prevention programs and compliance with safety, environmental, operating, regulatory, accounting, ethics and other standards
Execute and deliver Safety, Customer Experience, and Efficiency while supporting employee engagement
Remove unsafe conditions or situations from the recycling center and related activities
Partner with maintenance department to ensure equipment is in working order and complies with safety standards
Oversee effective safety and accident prevention programs to prevent accidents and injuries, ensuring a safe and productive work environment
Engage employees in safety culture through personal commitment and outreach
Provide service meeting or exceeding customer expectations
Resolve unusual service requests, equipment breakdowns, and schedule changes with timely communications
Interact with customers to solve issues and improve customer experience
Serve as positive company representative to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty
Establish productivity goals, ensure adherence to operating standards, and manage labor hours and disposal expenses
Execute operational plans to achieve or exceed budgeted goals
