Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no employment visa sponsorship)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel locally 50% of the time to customers
  • Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline and additional business-related degree
  • 2+ years experience in technical sales, industrial distribution, systems integration, or at an engineering firm; or graduate of the Rockwell Automation Sales Training Program
  • 2+ years experience managing a sales team or leading distributors
  • Prior experience working with all levels of an industrial automation plant, including vice presidents, plant engineers, and OEM machine builders

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 6 OEM Account Managers and be responsible for their development and performance
  • Manage a portfolio of complex customer relationships either personally or through a small team of account managers
  • Facilitate distributor meetings with territory sales management to set goals for account planning, commercial programs, and product launches
  • Collaborate with territory sales management teams regarding territory dynamics, performance, and sales opportunities
  • Build a network of executives within the business sector to obtain market intelligence on industry trends and identify opportunities for expansion
  • Review sales proposals from team members
  • Document the competitive landscape by geography and OEM segment to create a competitive pursuit strategy
